Code of Conduct and Zero Tolerance Policy

Introduction:

At Floreo, we believe in creating a learning environment that is not only conducive to growth and development but also safe, respectful, and inclusive for all participants. Our Code of Conduct and Zero Tolerance Policy reflect our commitment to upholding these values and ensuring that everyone involved in our training programmes feels valued, respected, and supported.

Expectations for Conduct:

Respect: We expect all delegates to treat each other, trainers, clinical staff, and Floreo personnel with respect and dignity at all times. This includes refraining from discriminatory, offensive, or disrespectful language and behaviour.

Professionalism: Professional conduct is paramount in our training programme. Delegates are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that reflects positively on themselves and the Floreo community, maintaining professionalism in all interactions and communications.

Collaboration: Collaboration is essential for the success of our training programmes. Delegates should foster a spirit of cooperation, teamwork, and mutual support, contributing positively to the learning experience for themselves and others.

Adherence to Guidelines: Delegates are required to adhere to all guidelines, instructions, and policies set by Floreo or its partner NHS clinics provided by trainers and staff. This includes following safety protocols, participating actively in sessions, and respecting the rights and boundaries of others.

Consequences of Violations:

Immediate Removal: Any delegate found to be in violation of this policy will be promptly asked to leave the course location. This includes instances of;

  • verbal or physical abuse, threats, anti-social behaviour, aggressive, disruptive, or otherwise inappropriate behaviour or disrespect towards Floreo staff, NHS clinical staff or other fellow colleagues
  • pose a safety risk to themselves or others
  • demonstrate conduct inconsistent with the standards of clinical professionalism, including but not limited to poor bedside manner, negligence, or failure to follow safety protocols
  • cause injury to any person through careless or reckless actions during training or assessment
  • display excessive nervousness, anxiety, or hesitation which, in the opinion of the trainer, renders them unable to safely and effectively perform phlebotomy procedures

In such circumstances, the participant shall be excluded from the remainder of the programme without the possibility of re-entry or re-enrolment. Furthermore, no refunds, whether partial or full, shall be issued for any fees paid, regardless of the stage of training completed.

Indefinite Bar from Services: Individuals who engage in misconduct will be indefinitely barred from using our services in the future. This includes access to training programmes, references, and course materials. We take the safety and well-being of our community seriously, and repeat offenders will not be tolerated.

Assessment Outcomes and Refund Policy

All assessments are conducted in accordance with the Organisation’s established evaluation criteria, which are designed to assess a participant’s technical competency, safety awareness, and professional behaviour in clinical settings.

A participant’s failure to meet the required standard—as determined by the Phlebotomy Trainer and/or Organisation—whether due to technical inadequacy, unsafe technique, nervousness preventing safe practice, or unprofessional conduct, does not constitute valid grounds for a refund of any fees paid.

It is the sole responsibility of the participant to ensure they are adequately prepared and suited—both technically and emotionally—for the practical demands of the course prior to enrolment. The Organisation shall not be held liable for any loss of time, income, or opportunity resulting from an unsuccessful or incomplete training outcome.

Reporting Procedure:

We encourage all participants to report any instances of misconduct or violations of this policy to a member of our staff. Reports will be handled with confidentiality, sensitivity, and urgency. We are committed to addressing concerns promptly and taking appropriate action to ensure the safety and integrity of our training programmes.

At Floreo, we are dedicated to fostering a culture of respect, integrity, and professionalism in all aspects of our operations. Our Code of Conduct and Zero Tolerance Policy reflect our unwavering commitment to creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for all. By upholding these standards, we strive to empower individuals to achieve their full potential and contribute positively to our community and beyond.
